Marcus Beach House – australia
I posted a Marcus Beach House before and to the best of my knowledge this shares no relation other than the name.
As my loyal readers know, I love that courtyard garden thing and adding large atrium spaces indoors with the frosted glass / louvres is just fantastic. The interior hallways that twist around the garden patches are paralleled nicely by the outside boardwalks that make up the exterior areas – again, the dark wood shutters + glass are just perfect. I’m a fan of dark woods if done well, and with the right overall balance and although it’s fairly heavy here I think it works with the white contrasts.
Today in the real world is one of the first days of utter, utter coldness so these sorts of tropical getaways look particularly inviting. I could easily see myself making some sort of mango smoothie on that table with the sun streaming in…
